Applications of Aluminium Shell Resistors

Shunt and Current Limiting: When an aluminium shell resistor is connected in parallel with a device, it can effectively shunt the current, thus reducing the current on the device. In practice, aluminium shell resistors are often used in parallel circuit shunt circuit to regulate the current in the circuit.

Voltage-Sharing Effect: When an aluminium shell resistor and a device are connected in series, it can effectively share the voltage, reducing the voltage on the device. In practice, aluminium case resistors can be used in series circuits for voltage dividing to transform the output voltage, such as radio and amplifier volume control circuits, semiconductor tube bias circuits, and voltage reduction circuits.

Impedance Matching: Aluminium case resistors can be used to form an impedance matching attenuator, which is connected in the middle of two networks with different characteristic impedances and can play the role of matching impedance.

Charging or Discharging: Aluminium case resistors are also used to form charging or discharging circuits with some components to complete the charging or discharging effect.
